  1. Both my son and I bought this phone during a promotional deal through our phone provider. We’ve had our phones for a little over a year (just long enough for the warranty to expire) and the right hinge has now broken on both phones. Neither our phone provider or Samsung will provide any support. We will not buy another phone from Samsung.

  2. When I first got the phone the battery life was amazing. Within a month I replaced the battery because I was charging it almost daily. Within a few more weeks I was charging it daily again. Also it was excessively slow. I could type out an entire text message and wait a good ten seconds at least for it to finish putting the words on the screen. Simply awful.

  3. I got this phone about a year ago. I must say that I do like it. The only downside is the battery. I have to charge it daily. When I first got it, it was good to go for several days without charging. I will be traveling to test its multiband & 3g capability in Thailand and Japan and I will let you know.

  4. I had a motorola slvr before this and the samsung was my first flip phone. I bought it because i was itching for a new phone after owning the slvr for 2 or 3 years and because the samsung had interchangeable covers which were very pretty.

I soon discovered that the battery life was next to nil. It needed virtually daily charging.

I also had a lot of dropped calls all along the mulholland corridor and dead spots on my street and in my home but i didn’t realize it was the phone’s fault until I changed to a different phone, which had no such problems. (A friend got a Samsung at the same time and he also reported similar dead spots.)

Then, after a few months, the right-side hinge broke. T-mobile rep said it may have been from carrying it in my jeans pocket and sitting down with the phone still in my pocket. Apparently, that puts too much pressure on the cheap plastic parts that are not designed to withstand normal usage. Eventually, despite crazy glue (and no more carrying in my pocket), the hinge fell apart beyond repair and I had to get a new phone less than a year after I got it.

I replaced it with the blackberry curve, which i have had for 3 weeks and am very happy with so far.

IN SHORT, DO NOT GET THIS PHONE unless you enjoy carrying a useless (but pretty) piece of metal.

  5. This Samsung t6339 battery really sucks. When I first got the phone, I didn’t have to charge it every single day. After a few weeks of using it , I have to charge the battery once every 23hours. It didn’t even last for a day! I checked the manual, it said the “standby” time is 8days. My standby time is only 23hours. >_<
