  1. I didn’t even think to look when comparing phones whether this one had a flash or not. I didn’t think in this day and age any camera phone would not have a flash. I made a stupid move when I re-upped my 2 year plan thinking I was getting a better phone than I already had. Otherwise the phone is just okay. Nothing special. I’m just stuck with it for another year and a half unless I fork out some real cash for a touch phone.

  2. After my old phone died for good, I needed a new phone fast, and purchased this one on a whim.

I’ll admit, the main reason I bought it was for the looks. It’s a great looking product, and it fits in my pocket or purse beautifully.

    But this phone is TERRIBLE.

The battery life is a joke. You will be charging this piece of garbage more than once a week.

The reception is awful. I live in a large metropolitan city, and dropped calls are a common issue with the w755.

The volume adjustment is stuck. My volume setting has been on ‘medium high’ for eons. I will go to the menu to manually change it, and yet, it’s constantly at ‘medium high’. To avoid the embarrassment of my phone loudly going off after receiving a text message, I’ll usually keep it on vibrate.

The back battery cover doesn’t stick. I’ll pick up the phone and it will simply fall off.

I’ve had this phone since about June 2008, and it *has* worked alright for me. Sometimes. I’ve dropped it accidentally a few times, and the screen is still great. The phone takes great pictures, but the lack of a flash boggles me.

It’s those little issues that amount into one huge headache.

  3. I got this phone on my contract renewal. I got another Motorola because I already had the car charger etc., and Motorola is what I had always had, so how could I go wrong. NOT! The sound quality is horrible! Everytime I would begin to talk there was a swishing sound…. WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT?????????????????? I took it back and they gave me another one……………… same thing. Got another one……………..same thing! So after three phones and all did the same thing I chose the only other Motorola phone…it’s a piece of junk but at least there isn’t the swishing sound evertime you say something.

  4. After my 15 month old broke my Motorola KRZR, I upgraded to W755. I really love the touch screen function that I can just hold it and make it vibrate when I’m trying to put my little one down for a nap without having to open and make a lot of noise. The touch screen to turn on the bluetooth is great too. I don’t have to go through so many buttons to turn it on, which is a big plus when driving. It takes good pictures, and has a nice calculator for calculating the tips in the restaurants. One of the complaints I have is the cover isn’t like my KRZR that I can use it as a mirror to see if my little one is sleeping on my shoulder or use it to put on my lipstick, but it also doesn’t break as easily. It seems consuming the battery a lot, so I’m recharging it almost everyday. Its number buttons are a lot bigger and less chic than KRZR, but overall this is a wonderful phone with a lot of functions and it looks cool!

  5. I have had this phone for just over a year, and I had high expectations for my first Motorola since I had only had LGs for the past 5 years or so. But, sadly, after a year, I can only give it one star because it works at the most basic level.

If you intend to text a great deal, this is NOT the phone for you! Within 4 months of getting the phone, the text functionality screwed up. I would click the #7 four times to enter an ’s’, and I would wind up with a ‘q’ and an ‘r’. It would freeze up completely while entering text and then give me gobbledy-gook when it finally caught up to me. I called the phone provider who sold me the phone, and I was told that this model is notorious for this issue. I then had to remove the battery for a few minutes and the texting would work fine for another couple of weeks. Now, as the phone ages, it is happening more and more often, and removing the battery does not always increase the texting speed.

In addition, the picture quality is just okay, and the video quality is not. It has a great deal of pic and vid storage, though.

So, while I do not 100% hate the phone, I warn off everyone I know from it and intend to try something with a Qwerty keyboard next time.
