Hi,
I just got my w755 phone which replaced my LG 8300 a phone that I really love execpt for the buttons.
Pros
Great Sound Quality
Great reception works in malls and elevators
Looks great
Light
negs
Reaction time to pushing button for commands is slow
Speaker quality not so great on this phone. I will check it out with another one in stock in a verizon store.
No Flash on camera but none of the phones have that these days. Welcome to manufactuing without pride.
I’m a firm beliver that products made years ago were better made. (I believe this accross the board) After all this phone has an internal antena vs my LG has an external. But the Motorola has been preforming fine in the reception end. Even the sound quality is pretty good via ear piece.
As far as a phone is concerned it’s great. I’m still undecided if I’m keeping it because of the reaction times to the commands. I guess the reaction time is slower because of Java or aero display feature. This is another trend. Make the phone look nicer and sacrafice productivity. But If this is what our population thinks is important I’d rather keep my opinion to myself on what I think of the whole situcation. I’m actually having the same issue on my GPS the old one was quick the new one although looks nicer redraws slow.
Go figure Welecome to America or China.
Anyway as far as what this piece of equipment (the w755) is used for it is a good phone for reception and sound quality, the camera takes nice pics also (Even without the Flash) I truly don’t care about the 200 other pages of multimedia stuff but if you are into that it has ton’s of features including Gps which seems cool

I’ve had this phone for a while and I really like this phone.
Since this phone is on verizon the call quality is great and I have had no problems with it. Great basic cell phone. I have hardly any complaints. The battery will last for a few days and the phone doesn’t have much of a learning curve. The interface is decent and they have many shortcut keys. The camera is pretty good. I use as a secondary camera when I don’t have my main camera. I send a lot of texts messages on this phone. the keys are really assessable and the battery can slip out just fine. The phone hasn’t had any dropped calls or has it lost connection. There are some useful features that I like on the phone. It even has web capabilities which is plus if you plan on using it. Small enough to fit into your pocket. The keyboard isn’t a full size keyboard since this is a flip phone. They did a good job though spreading out all the keys. If you have large fingers than it wouldn’t be a problem. It comes with vcast if you plan on downloading music and movies and such and such. There are a decent number of applications you can access. you have to pay for a good majority of them though. This phone also comes with many different themes to choose from. I don’t have a favorite. these themes can help you choose what kind of interface you could like to have. Some people have been complaining about that speaker phone, but I hardly ever use the speaker phone. The screen size could be bigger, but i could still see through it just fine. They don’t give you many ringtones. You could although get a ringtone using an application to get more ringtones if you must. There area few backgrounds that come with the phone. If you don’t like any you can run an application to more backgrounds. I don’t see why some people complain about this phone. It’s a great phone and experts even agree as well. this is great for a basic phone. This is not a smart phone obviously.

After reading the other reviews for the Motorola W755, I figured out that this may be a type of upgrade to the RAZR V3 (I coincidentally had a RAZR before this phone also, but changed carriers in the process of the switch and did not go through an upgrade to the W755). I have to say as far as a comparison between these two phones goes, I’d give the edge to the RAZR, if for only a couple reasons:
First, the W755 has a smaller screen, about 5mm less across, and at least a centimeter shorter. The screen on the RAZR is modest, so you could guess that the W755’s screen gets cramped, which it does. The text messaging box is tiny, and that leads into my next problem with this phone…
Text messaging is a great luxury, and on most phones now there are full QWERTY boards, or touch screens with simulated keyboards. On these phones texting is quick and easy to do (with the exception of the Blackberry Storm, which is easily the worst attempt at a smart phone I’ve ever encountered). However with classic vertical flip phones such as the RAZR and W755, which must utilize standard phone number pads, the intelligence of the phone must make up for the lack of buttons in order to create comparable speed and ease of use. This is where the W755 fails. The buttons are actually nice and spaciously laid out on the pad, and they’re both very tactile and back lit, which is nice when you can’t see very well. However the intelligence of this phone’s input system is remedial. The RAZR’s texting system is one of the best I’ve ever encountered on a vertical flip phone. There was always the lag on backspace, but there are worse drawbacks to texting, such as having to push a soft key, then scroll or shortcut to the symbol screen, and then additionally cycle through soft key menus to find the list that has the symbol you’re looking for, and then again either cycle or shortcut to the correct symbol to enter it. This is very tedious if you’re the type who enjoys emoticons and other stylized text.
The bluetooth options are nice, and compatible with many bluetooth accessories. I appreciate having a bluetooth power button on the face of the phone for when I have it in my pocket and wish to disconnect my headset, without having to open the phone and shut it off. And the camera is nicer than the RAZR’s.
Overall, I’m satisfied with this phone, for now. I’ll be looking to find a more suitable upgrade with more intuitive texting.

Got this phone about a week ago. Fully charged, went down to one bar on the battery indicator(with no use) in less than 2 days. Have tried a couple of times with same result. If someone’s got a solution, would love to hear about it!

My wife and I recently upgraded from Motorola V325 to a pair of W755 phones. I did read some reviews prior to purchasing these and read of short battery life. I purchased the phones anyway due to some of its other features including the connection for an external antenna. We have found the battery life to be more than adequate and go for a number of days before charging them. The reception and features of the phones work for us. The camera is much better than many phones and if I want real photography, I use my digital camera anyway. We also like the external antenna connections that are built in to the phones because we need to use an external directional Yagi antenna at our camp in the Adirondacks to get any cell phone reception. We connect the Yagi antenna by the adapter cable to the phone connector inside the back case below the rubber plug in the bottom of the case. I would buy this cell phone again.
