I have owned four of these phones so far. The first one worked well for six months, and then the LCD screen randomly went wild mid-text and wouldn’t display anything other than random colors. Verizon replaced this one for me, and the new phone lasted three months, at which point the right hinge cracked, and later came apart completely. Again, Verizon replaced it for free. The third phone was ruined due to my own carelessness after 3 days of use, so I replaced it myself. I’ve had this final, fourth one for less than three months, and now its right hinge also broke.
I’m extremely disappointed in the LG VX8350’s durability. I love all of its features, especially the ability to read texts from the front screen, but I won’t be purchasing another one due to its tendency to break. Buyers beware.

Even though the listing says this phone is no longer available, I’m still using mine 2-1/2 years after purchase. It holds a battery charge 4 to 7 days with constant use. Gets reception in places no phone I’ve ever owned does. Lasted through being dropped from a rooftop, out of a car, played with and drooled on by a baby. The only thing I did was purchase the padded cover for it. That takes away from the nice red color but the padding has saved its life. I’ve been told it’s working on obsolete technology, but the phone still works and I’m not looking forward to replacing it.

I am a HUGE fan of LG. However I was not pleased with this phone. I had it for 2 weeks and the video camera wouldn’t work. We got a new one. 2 weeks later it was having the same problems. They sent me yet another one. Again same problems. My husband went to a verizon store to take it back. They told him they could only give him the same phone again. Since this was our 3rd phone that was not happening. He did not leave the store until they gave him a different phone. I now have the VX 8700 and I love it

My wife I both got the same phone a little over a year ago and shortly after getting it, the wiring on the inside must have gone bad, because I could no longer hear anyone through the ear piece and no one could hear me. I changed it out in December and got a refurbished model of the same phone. Today (another few months later) it started doing the same thing and now I have to go get another one (can’t upgrade and get a new model till February). My wife is also having issues with hers, but hers are more superficial (her screen on the outside started to crack and she doesn’t recall dropping it). I love Verizon and I am a LG fan, but I am going to tell everyone I see with this phone to be prepared for troubles. If you are shopping for a new phone, stay away from this model. I searched for the model on VerizonWireless.com and it doesn’t look like they are selling these anymore and that’s good for everyone else.
