  1. This is by far the worst phone I’ve ever owned. I don’t understand the reviews that say this thing has a nice design. It looks like a phone from the early 90’s. It’s basically a big block that flips open.

The touch screen is terrible. I was constantly selecting items by mistake and scrolling is basically impossible. Then when flipped up the phone felt very cheap. The top sort of wobbled and was not secure at all . The entire thing felt like it was about to break in half when open.

This is also a totally proprietary phone. There is nothing you are going to do with this thing without paying a monthly fee or purchasing some new LG hardware. Including charger, car charger, headphones, GPS, No google maps etc…

The mobile TV is way over rated with bad reception everywhere from Verizon. The voice recognition was horrible, My Motorola Q does a much better job and it is ancient. I was continually having to say the name again and again on EVERY call.

The straw that broke the camels back however for me was that after a week of using, I would charge it overnight. The next morning it was completely frozen. The battery would charge but you couldn’t even turn the thing off. I had to remove the battery every morning and then re-start to get it to work.

I would give this phone zero stars. The saving grace was Verizon’s 30 day satisfaction guarantee. This will be the last LG phone I ever buy.

  2. The touch screen broke under normal usage 21 days after getting the phone. After much haggling verizon agreed to replace the phone initially for $50 and then for free. I will put the new phone in a case and hopefully this will not happen again. I am happy that Verizon did the right thing and replaced the phone. I honestly did not abuse the phone as insinuated at the verizon store.

  3. If Verizon had half a brain they would have said yes when Apple asked to ship the iPhone w/ Verizon but they didn’t realizing their mistake they tried to get a touchscreen phone its terrible worst phone ever made should never have been given to consumers

  4. I used to have the “V” the first full qwerty keyboard phone available at Verizon from LG.. I enjoyed it and thought “Hmm a touchscreen and full keyboard is a neat combination” because I hate the iPhone only being touch functional.

The touch settings SUCK SO BADLY, I have literally missed calls because it won’t do anything when I touch it.

The speaker once it’s open is also USELESS. My old 5 year old phone was 10x better than this piece of garbage.

Save your money and please avoid this phone, It may look neat but it’s a slab of consumer garbage.

  5. Overall this is not a good phone. It is basically an EnV with a touch screen on the front. The touch screen is where many of the problems start. It has very bad sensitivity (difficult to scroll down, selecting the wrong thing, randomly scrolling down, selecting things while in my pocket). This makes it nearly impossible to select a contact and call them from the touch screen.

The keyboard is Ok, but it is nearly identical to the one on the EnV. The only problem is that it has separate keys for a capital letter and the symbol above the letter, making it difficult to use these items in text messages.

The reception is bad like every Verizon phone I have had.

In conclusion, do not buy this phone unless you really like it for some reason. I would not buy it again. The only reason a I bought it was because my contract was up and it was one of the few phones with a full keyboard. I would recommend the EnV 2, or if possible a phone from a company other than verizon.
