I absolutely love this phone and ive been back and forth with verizon to find a good browser phone, and one that I can use for touch screen, that also had a qwerty keyboard and i found it. I mean this is the ultimate phone ive been through the voyager; and the motorola krave and both were horrible; this phone however as I have talked to NUMEROUS VERIZON WIRELESS REPRESENTATIVES, THEY SAID THIS AND THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT IS BETTER THAN THE BLACKBERRY CURVE, PEARL, AND ANY OTHER PHONE, THEY SAID IT WAS GOOD AND BOY WERE THEY RIGHT, IM TELLING YOU IVE BEEN THROUGH PHONE AND PHONE BACK AND FORTH WITH VERIZON, I THINK THEY ACTUALLY KNOW MY NAME BY HEART, HAHAHA, BUT THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PHONE TO DATE, GUARANTEED, AND I WANT TO AND WOULD LOVE TO HERE ANYONE WHO THINKS OTHERWISE, BECAUSE IVE BEEN THROUGH IT ALL. THIS IS THE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I traded in my Verizon LG ENV2 on this phone in the hopes that I would get most of the benefits of an iPhone, such as, music, virtual keyboard, scrolling, etc.
Well what a disappointment! It does play music once I added my 8GB SanDisk micro chip from the ENV2. It has decent controls but does not display the artist or album name so it is difficult to identify songs or make playlists. It also skips and stutters a lot. Sometimes it starts to echo and the only way to stop it is to go to the next song — quite annoying. Also, each time I turn on my Sony wireless headphones, I have to re-connect the phones since they revert back to mono for some reason. The ENV2 did not do this.
The “touch” controls are lousy. I have to hit the desired key often 2 or 3 times to get it to work. It works better if I use my fingernail to touch the virtual icons and keys. Scrolling is also terrible. I am still, after 3 months, unable to scroll through my photos. I even went back to Verizon for assistance. The sales person could get it to scroll some of the time.
I cannot use the supplied USB cable to connect to my computer to download songs or photos. I have to connect the chip directly to the computer. I tried three different computers and none of them connected, the system just does not recognize the USB cable. “Plane Mode” does not work. If you use “Plane Mode” then the wireless headphones do not work at all – so what good is it? Battery life is poor, just a few hours if you play music, longer for regular phone conversations.
On the positive side – it is not as expensive as an iPhone, ($129) so I guess that is some consolation. It has a smaller footprint and is a bit lighter. It’s not bad looking, being chrome and black. The phone sounds clear and loud. The speaker phone works well – if – you turn the phone around and talk using the back side of the phone. The 2MB camera is just okay and has a built in flash. Also positive, it will accept a 16GB Music chip, which increases storage capacity to about 4000 songs. You can add an external “real” keyboard, and if you are into texting, I would highly recommend that upgrade. The supplied software is ok. I am not sure if it can be upgraded.
My recommendation – Just turn and walk away, there are much better phones out there so keep looking.

I exchanged my phone for a new one twice and still have a problem with the screen freezing up when i don’t respond to a missed call or a missed txt right away. I thought it was the phone itself but judging from other peoples reviews, it seems that the phones software may have a bug. Does anyone know of a patch or update?
Once the screen freezes, the LCD stays on and drains your batteries which eventually powers out within a few hours.
Other than this issue, phone is great.

The worst phone I have ever had the misfortune to have. The screen freezes constantly, the battery stops working after a while, the calls don’t get received. I had to get this phone replaced four times. Finally, I am getting a new one. Really, Verizon does not have a great selection of phones that aren’t smartphones.

This is a great phone. I bought it a couple days ago and its amazing. The touchscreen is great, and the keypad,(which is included), is a blast to use. Its great for all the smartphone – users out there who don’t want to pay the smartphone 30 dollars a month for Verizon. I’d definatly recommend this to anyone.
