  1. This product has a full keyboard great for you unlimited texters and provides easy quick ways to navigate to whatever you like.
    Rating: 5 / 5

  2. This device on Verizon is really terrible:

    - crippled GPS so you can’t use it with Google Maps

    - poor reception (doesn’t work in my office where Cingular, Sprint, and T-Mobile all do)

    - World phone capability was spotty for me in both China and Canada

    - The browser is terrible. This is not the VZW EVDO network… on my laptop Firefox loads pages fine over EVDO but here there are often minutes of latency

I’m going to pay the damn fee to leave my contract this thing is so bad.

  3. purchased with verizon contract. within 3 months the disconnect key failed, which made it very difficult to end calls. verizon wouldn’t back up the product, and wanted 70$ to give me another phone and were going to charge me an activation fee. reception hasn’t been a problem. the voice activation key is on the side, and is very easily turned on. if you have the phone in your pocket it will often start speaking on its own. poorly designed and cheaply made.

  4. I can’t agree more with the negatives that have been presented here. I had this phone for two years and I cant tell you how many accidental calls were made with it in my pocket. Also voice recognition gets it right about 30%. The battery dies quickly and the voice quality is poor. All of these hassles had been livable even though annoying. However recently, this phone has pushed me over the edge. First the tracking ball quit working but after taking it apart and cleaning it I was able to get it to work again. Then I could scroll with the track ball but still couldnt click it “like an enter key”. Then about a month later the phone went completely dead and I got a 507 error (honestly I dont remember the error code now) or something like that everytime I powered it on. I did some research on the internet and it said that error code meant the software needed to be reloaded so I did.

I will never get another blackberry phone again.

  5. I first bought this phone through Verizon almost two years ago. Since then I am on version number 4. This is by far the worst phone I have owned in ten years. The keys do not work. I cannot end calls with the end call button. I cannot place calls with the place call button and most of the vowel keys on the keyboard no longer work. Everyday I want to throw this piece of crap out the window but can’t because I am in a contract until June. Suffice it to say I will not be buying another Blackberry again. Junk!
